Try to switch them out BEFORE evolving into metapod for best results. >Exeggcutor is your main tank and big stick but starmie ex is your fallback especially into fire types. If you must sacrifice a mon try to do it with a starmie or exeggcute before evolving to reserve points and sustain til you can win it. These butterboys do WORK in the long run.
